This policy explains what the Recalibrating You mobile app ("the app," "we," "us") collects, why, and who it is shared with. Recalibrating You is published by The Legacy Office as part of a guided, Sherpa-led course. We keep this deliberately plain: we collect only what the course needs to work, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.
The short version
Everything the app collects goes to our own systems to run your course and account. We use no advertising networks and no third-party analytics, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Your written reflections are shared with your assigned Sherpa, and no one else.
To sign you in, we use the email address you enter. Your place in the course is prepared in advance by The Legacy Office, so your name and course enrollment already exist in our system and are shown to you in the app. When you set or use a password, it is sent over an encrypted connection solely to authenticate you.
The written answers you record in the app's reflection questions are saved to your account so you can return to them and so your Sherpa can support your work.
Who reads your reflections
Your reflection answers are shared with your assigned Sherpa as part of the guided course. They are not shown to other participants and are not used for any purpose beyond delivering the course.
As you move through modules and any accompanying books or audiobooks, the app records progress milestones (for example, a module started or a book opened) and syncs them to your account so your progress is accurate across sessions and visible to your Sherpa.
Your account identifier ties your activity to your enrollment. The app also generates a per-installation identifier used to associate this device's downloads and progress with your account. This identifier is not an advertising identifier and is not used to track you across other apps or services.
We use the information above only to:

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device — for example, a reminder shortly before a meeting or on the day a module begins. These reminders are generated from your course schedule on the device; we do not operate a marketing push service.
We share your information only as needed to run the course:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising or analytics partners.
All communication between the app and our systems uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Your authentication token is stored in the device's secure hardware-backed store (the iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). When you sign out, that token and your locally queued progress are cleared from the device.
We keep your account, reflections, and progress for as long as your enrollment is active or as needed to provide the course. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. You can also revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.
Recalibrating You is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you in the app.
